Dr Carola Stevenson took over the practice at Bear Valley Veterinary Clinic in April 2004  when Dr. William A. Sherman retired.  Exactly 4 years later, April 2008 she will be managing operation of The Vet when Dr. Jay French retires.

Hello to the clients of Bear Valley Veterinary Clinic and The Vet!  I am Dr. Carola Stevenson.  My desire is to provide your family with high quality and compassionate veterinary care.  I hope to help strengthen the Human-Animal bond between you and your pet(s) by taking the appropriate steps to prevent disease and promote optimal wellness to allow your pet(s) to live the longest life possible.

I am a native of Colorado and was born at Swedish Medical Center.  I graduated High School in Colorado Springs.  I completed both my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees at Colorado State University.  I have five pets of my own, 4 clinic cats, and three children ages 5

-15.  I previously was an associate veterinarian at a seven-doctor practice in North Denver, I was ready to settle into a more close-knit family practice setting.  Along came the opportunity in Bear Valley.  I must say, the clients at Bear Valley have made me feel right at home.  I couldn't have asked for a nicer group of people to work for in the healthcare of pets.

We will now be staffing The Vet with the same goals in mind:    to keep your animal friends healthy, happy, safe, comfortable and adored.  I will look forward to meeting your family at Bear Valley Veterinary Clinic and The Vet.  Don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Dr. Carola M. Stevenson

Becky Thompson - Certified Veterinary Technician

Our Certified Veterinary Technician Becky takes pride in the work she performs on your pets.  She is very knowledgeable and compassionate toward your pets comfort and health.  She is the best in the business!  She graduated from Bel Rae in 1998, but has been working with veterinarians for years before her graduation.  Becky and Dr Stevenson have worked together for 6 years.  If the doctor is not available to answer your question- she probably can!

Alison Haskins - Veterinary Assistant

Alison has been working with us since the beginning of 2007.  She completed her schooling as a veterinary assistant at PIMA medical institute.  She performed her externship at Bear Valley Veterinary Clinic and we were impressed by her work ethic and positive attitude.  She is now an employee with us and has had the responsibility of playing all the roles from receptionist to exam room assistant.  We appreciate her sense of humor and attention to detail.  Thanks for all your hard work!

Lisa Morvay - Veterinary Assistant

Lisa is also a graduate of pima medical institute and helps both at the front desk, with surgery and in exam rooms.  She is very cheerful and always wears a smile.  She has a lot of compassion for pets and loves to cuddle the kitties.

Ryan Lindstrom - Veterinary Assistant

Ryan is also a graduate of pima medical institute.  When he was hired he commented that he chose this profession because it is exciting to be able to help a patient when the patient is unable to tell you where it hurts.  He is always willing to help when needed. Ryan is a team player!

Sharon Worster - Office Manager/Receptionist

Sharon has been involved with Bear Valley Veterinary Clinic for the past several years and recently had to leave.  We are very appreciative to have had her at the clinic and will miss her Neal Diamond CDs.

Sandy Russo - Certified Veterinary Technician

Sandy was the long-time, one-man-show at Dr French's office.  We look forward to continuing working with her during this transition.

Dr Jinny Lin

Dr Lin will be acting as the transition veterinarian at The Vet.

Stay tuned for more details.

Brandi Wolf - Receptionist

Welcome Brandi.  She is the newest edition to or growing staff.  She has had experience as a receptionist, and pet care specialist in a veterianrians office and boarding facility for the past 2+ years.  She will be training as receptionist so that Lisa can continue expanding her skills in pet dentistry and patient care.  We look forward to a long relationship with you.
